SAHÌA TRAVEL is a tour operator based in Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar, and was founded in November 2020 by Saholy Haingo RAZAFINDRATSIMA.
Having started in the tourism industry in 1996 as a driver guide, traveling the roads of Madagascar with her Renault 11, Saholy joined Boogie Pilgrim team, a renowned Malagasy Tour Operator, in 1998. Through her professionalism and her field knowledge, she quickly went from Travel Consultant to Product Manager, then recently held the role of Operations Manager, contributing also to the business development of the company, by promoting the destination at International Tourism Fairs and by carrying out roadshows all over Europe ( The Netherlands, Germany, England ), and in South Africa.
Thanks to her 24 years of experience, Saholy finally decided to stand on its own feet by creating Sahìa Travel.
Despite the current situation due to the health and economic crisis, Saholy is convinced that tourism will resume soon, as soon as borders open, which will not be long, that is why she dares to hope that her current approach will not be in vain.
« Sahìa” is a Malagasy word meaning “dare”. As Saholy dared to take the plunge despite months of uncertainty due to the coronavirus pandemic, she wanted to mark the occasion by naming her Company SAHÌA TRAVEL.
